HARRISBURG – Rep. Tim Hennessey (R-Chester/Montgomery) today announced the Commonwealth Financing Authority has awarded a grant of $57,690 to Honey Brook Borough for the upgrading of electrical service at the Maple Street Pumping Station and Well Field.
“This is a needed upgrade for this facility that has had vandalism issues in the past several years,” said Hennessey. “In addition, the current overhead electrical service had been deteriorating due to environmental causes. This work will enhance the operation and security of the station with added electrical distribution service and fencing.”
The project calls for installation of an underground electrical power supply, a waterproof electrical distribution service panel and wiring improvements for two wells.
The grant program aids the construction, improvement, expansion, repair, or rehabilitation of a water supply or sanitary sewer system which is owned and maintained by an eligible applicant.
